    Never Give Up
    Series: (All)
    2 Thessalonians 1:1-5

“Paul, Silas, and timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trails you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.”

     I. Don’t Give Up On The Church

“to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ

Church- appears more than 100 time;  Means CALLED OUT ONES

“For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:20
II. Continue To Feed Your Faith

“your faith is growing more and more”

Theologian F.F. Bosworth  “Most Christians feed their body three hot meals a day and their spirit one cold snack a week. And they wonder why they are so weak in the faith”

III. Never Cease To Demonstrate The Love of Christ

IV. Remove The Phrase ‘GIVE UP’

“Among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trails you are enduring.”

“Consider it a sheer gift friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides.  You know that under pressure, your faith-life is force into the open and it shows your true colors. Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1: 2-3

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up,” Galatians 6:9

Believers Are Not To Be Condemning Judges
    Series: (All)
    Matthew 7:5

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:1-6

    I. What Jesus Meant When He Said Do Not Judge?

    II. Work On Your Faults

“Don’t pick on people, jump to their failures, criticize their their faults-unless, of course, you want the same treatment.” Matthew 7:1 (The Message)

“Do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it.” James 4:11

III. Decide You Will Not Be A Hypocrite

"We look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

“Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord returns. He will then bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of each person’s hearts. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” 1 Corinthians 4:5

Three reasons to keep in mind as we evaluate others:

    1. We never know all the facts or completely know others.

    2. It is not possible for anyone to be strictly impartial in judgment.

    3. But Jesus stated the supreme reason why we should not judge others.
“NO ONE IS GOOD ENOUGH TO JUDGE OTHERS”

“WE CAUGHT HER IN THE ACT OF ADULTERY”

JESUS SAID, “SO WHOEVER IS WITHOUT SIN THROW THE FIRST STONE”.

    Acts 1:1-3

Commenting on all their statues to many different gods

“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold, silver, or stone – an image made by man’s design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For God has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead.” Acts 17:29-31

    I. He Fulfilled Every Old Testament Prophecy

“He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer, and though the Lord makes his life a guilt offering….after the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life.” Isaiah 53:9-11

    II. His Tomb Was Empty

III. The Eyewitnesses Who Saw Jesus After The Cross Were They Hallucinating?

1 Corinthians 15:3-7 “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and was buried, was raised on the 3rd day according to the Scriptures, and he appeared to Peter and the 12. After that he appeared to more than 500 of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, although some are asleep.”

“If the dead are not raised, than Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; and you are still in your sins. Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead” 1 Corinthians 15: 16-20
