The Rise of Antichrist In The Last Days
Revelation 13:1-18 #7 in Series 1 John 2: 18''Dear children, the last hour is here. You have heard that the Antichrist is coming. Even now many antichrists have arisen. From this we know it is the last hour.'' The Bible calls him ''a beast, the beast of the sea.'' ''the little horn.'' ''the man of sin, the man of lawlessness, the son of perdition.'' ''The son of destruction. The king of fierce countenance.'' I. He Will Not Be Known Until After The Rapture 1 Corinthians chapter 15, ''...in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet we're going to rise. And the dead rise first. And then we, who are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, and thus we shall be always with the Lord.'' 11 Thessalonians 2 ''You know what restrains him now, so that in his time he may be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. And then that lawless one will be revealed...'' Daniel 8: 23 - 24, ''When the end is near for those kingdoms, there will be a very bold and cruel king who will be very tricky. This king will be very powerful, but his power does not come from himself.'' Revelation 13:2: ''And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.'' II. He Will Be Invited To Rule The World vs 3''And I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed...'' ''And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him? And there was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies; and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.'' verse 6, ''And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle; that is, those who dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.'' Daniel 9: 27 ''And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week (in the middle of that 7-year period...'' Daniel 11, ''He has no regard for the gods of his fathers or any god other than himself.'' Will you be left behind at the rapture? Are you ready to meet Jesus Christ if he comes today? There will not be time at the rapture to repent and receive Jesus Christ as Savior. Today is the day of salvation!

    The Rapture Of The Church
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 ''But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren....'' We don’t want you to be unaware. We don’t want you to be ignorant about these things, ''...about those who are asleep.'' Asleep is the Bible word for people who have died in the Lord. ''We don’t want you to be uninformed about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as do the rest who have no hope.'' ''For if we believe (verse 14) that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the Word of the Lord that we, who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore, comfort one another with these words.'' I. What is the rapture? Vs 16-17''For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and thus we shall always be with the Lord.'' Vs 17 harpazo “shall be caught up together” Harpazo ''to snatch away.'' ''to seize with force.'' Scripture says that ''...in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye...'' ''I am so impressed with your faith, how you turned from idols to serve the living and true God and then you are waiting for His Son to appear, who will deliver us from the wrath that is to come.'' Titus. ''...looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.'' ''Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in Me.? In My Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you. For I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am there you may be also.'' "Of that day and of that hour no one knows: not the angels, not even the Son, but the Father alone.'' II. When Does The Rapture Take Place? Pre-Millennial View – Jesus died on the cross – Pentecost – founding of the church –from then until the rapture – CHURCH AGE Tribulation period 7 yrs in length He returns with all believers at Battle of Armageddon 1,000 year millennial reign with believers on earth Then Great White Throne Judgment Creation of new heaven and new earth Eternity in heaven for all believers A-millennial view- Those who hold this view are more liberal in the beliefs - More liberal in their explanation of Scripture - Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead. From Cross to when Jesus returns at end of tribulation Is Church Age No 1,000 year reign of Christ on earth Post-Millennial view - Jesus dies on the cross – rose from the dead Church age begins Church Age is the Golden Age Church is reigning on earth now – world getting better then you have the return of Christ - And then heaven. 1,000 yr reign of Christ happens before Jesus returns 1 Thessalonians verse 15, ''For this we say to you by the Word of the Lord.'' III. What Happens At The Rapture? ''Why stand you gazing up into the sky? This same Jesus, whom you saw ascend to heaven, will come in like manner just as He said.'' ''Absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.''11 Corinthians 5 verse 14, ''For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.'' 1st Corinthians 15, ''We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet, for the dead in Christ shall rise, and we shall be raised incorruptible. And then will come about this saying, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?''

    Isreal In The Last Days
Genesis 12:1-3 (#4) Genesis 12: Where it all started. The call of Abram ''Now the LORD said to Abram, Go forth from your country, and from your relatives, and from your father's house to the land which I will show you. And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing. And I will bless those who bless you, and the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.'' Abram, his name means ''exalted father.'' I. Israel And His People Were Chosen By God Deuteronomy 7: ''For you are a holy people to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples...'' Why did He choose them then? ''...but because the LORD loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the LORD brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.'' God just made a sovereign choice. ''I choose this man. I give him a son of miracle birth. And then through his son we have the line of the Jews. And I'm going to use the Jews to be a lighthouse of love and truth to the world.'' II. God Promised Israel and God Keeps His Promises Milton B. Linberg ''Without the existence of Israel, we would not be able to say with certainty that we are in the last days. That single event, more than any other, is the most prominent sign that we are living in the final moments before the coming of Jesus. The Hebrew people have been called 'God's Timepiece of the Ages.'' Here were the odds: outnumbered 40 to 1 in soldiers outnumbered about 100 to 1 in population. outnumbered a 1,000 to 1 in equipment. outnumbered about 5,000 to 1 in land area. The Jews won! God says, ''I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you.'' III. Gods Promises To Israel Provide Assurance We Are Living In The Last Days ''And I saw heaven opened; and, behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True. And in righteousness He judges and wages war. And from His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may smite the nations; and He will rule them with a rod of iron, and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.''

    The Lukewarm Church of 2017
Revelation 3:14-22    (3rd in series) Revelation 3:14 ''And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God says this: I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you (I will vomit you) out of My mouth. Because you say, I'm rich and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing. And you do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire that you may become rich, and white garments that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed, and eye salve to anoint your eyes that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline. Be zealous, therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'' I.The Church Has Become Lukewarm ''I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. You're not cold like Colosse just eleven miles to the east. You're not hot like Hieropolis just up north six miles. I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. But because you are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.'' He is saying to the church, “You're just like your water, and it's nasty.'' YOUR WATER IS FOUL – TEPID WATER You are just like your water lukewarm Our Lord says MY CHURCH IS SPIRITUALLY LUKEWARM. 2 Chronicles 16:9 ''For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth...'' David is referred in Scripture as a MAN AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART ''David had a passion for God. He loved God, and he felt it, and it was in his heart, and he was passionately pursuing God.'' ''Timothy, you make sure. I solemnly charge you before the Lord Jesus Christ, you preach the Word of God and reprove, and rebuke, and exhort with great patience and instruction. Timothy pastor of Ephesus 100 miles from Colossee ''Listen, Timothy. The time is coming when men won't endure sound doctrine. They're not going to want to hear the truth, but they're going to accumulate for themselves teachers who will do what? They'll tickle their ears. They'll tell them things they want to hear. They won't reprove, and they won't rebuke. They'll just talk about how wonderful everyone is and how it's just so wonderful that we can all love one another and it's just going to be mushy. And they'll turn aside from the truth,'' ''Backward, Christian soldiers, fleeing from the fight, With the cross of Jesus nearly out of sight!?Christ, our rightful Master, stands against the foe; Onward into battle we seem afraid to go.?Sit here then, ye people, join our sleeping throng, Blend with ours your voices in a feeble song! Blessings, ease, and comfort asked from Christ the King, But with our modern thinking we won't do a thing. Backward, Christian soldiers, fleeing from the fight, With the cross of Jesus nearly out of sight!'' G. Campbell Morgan ''The worst form of blasphemy is not sexual immorality. It's not idolatry. It's not false teaching. The worst form of blasphemy is lukewarmness.'' WHAT WILL CHURCHES BE LIKE WHEN JESUS COMES AGAIN? The Members were untaught regarding the Bible Pastors not preaching the truth and doctrine of God Believers had simply lost their enthusiasm for God They had become apathetic and lethargic - lukewarm Second: The church will become proudly self-sufficient. General William Booth was the Founder of the Salvation Army. ''The chief danger of the 20 century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, and heaven without hell.''

    Islam Is Growing Rapidly
Matthew 24:3-14 What will be the signs of your coming ? Vs 4 ''See to it that no one misleads you, for many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ and will mislead many. And you'll be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See to it that you're not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. Then they will deliver you to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations on account of My name. And at that time many will fall away and will deliver up one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. And because lawlessness is increased, most peoples' love will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end, he shall be saved.'' vs 11: ''And many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.''  In 2017, Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. 1. The Beginning Of Islam Islam was founded around 610 AD by Muhammed. Galatians 1: ''If we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.'' 2 Corinthians 11:14, ''Even Satan can disguise himself to look like an angel of light! Islam means ''submission to God.'' Muhammed had MANY WIVES 1ST was 15 the one who told Mohammad THIS ANGEL IS OF GOD YOU ARE A PROPHET OF ALLAH THIS IS NOT EVIL John 10:10, ''The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.'' II. False Teachings Of Islam Allah is also the name of the moon god 1 of 360 gods in Mecca First pillar is their profession of faith recites the Shahada in Arabic with meaning: There is no God but Allah and Muhammed is his prophet, is his messenger..when the Muslims pray, they repeat said in the life of a Muslim somewhere like 17 times a day the most important pillar in Islam. Second pillar ritualistic prayers pray five times a day. Arrange their day based on their prayer times where they go to the mosque to pray. They have their prayer rugs. They all get down. You say the same thing. You repeat these things. You repeat the Shahada and other things. That's part of your prayer time. Third Pillar Sawm is their obligatory fasting during Ramadan. Fast from sunup to sundown for 1 month. Eat large breakfast before sun rises. Eat large dinner after sun sets Fourth Pillar Zakat is required alms-giving. 21 ½% of your wealth not your income Fifth Pillar the Hajj, pilgrimage to Mecca. Required to do that once in your lifetime – do so your sins will be forgiven – all sins Forgiven up to the trip – not forgiven forever The 6th pillar of Islam is Jihad – means struggle Internal struggle is submission to Allah External struggle is violence against apostates/unbelievers/ Sinners – a kind of jihad Promises in Qur’an if you die in jihad they you are assured of a place in heaven BOTTOM LINE THE ISLAM RELIGION IS A COMPLICATED SYSTEM OF WORKS III. Be Alert To The Danger of Islam The Qur'an blatantly teaches violence. 109 verses in Qur’an teach violence They believe translated from Allah – Gabriel - Mohammed 11 Timothy 2, ''And the Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will.''

What Is The Role Of The Church In 2017?
11 Timothy 3:1-13 “Timothy, God hasn't given you a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. You have to remember who you are and whose you are.'' 2 Timothy 3: ''But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power, and avoid such men as these.'' Last days – in Scripture this is the gap between the 1st coming of our Lord and his 2nd coming. vS 13, ''But evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.'' I. Life Will Go From Bad To Worse ''But understand this that in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble [hard to deal with and hard to bear].~ Amplified Bible Different nuances of the Greek ''You emphatically must know what I'm about to tell you. In the very last part of the last days at the very end of the age, hurtful, harmful, dangerous, unpredictable, high-risk periods of time will come.'' Ephesians 6: 12 ''For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.'' II. God Warned Us Life Would Grow Worse In The Last Days Ecclesiastes 12, ''The conclusion when all has been heard is, fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.'' Proverbs ''The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge''. fear of God says that you recognize that God is God and you're not God. vs 2 ''...difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of self... Psalm 36: 1, ''Sin whispers to the wicked deep within their hearts; they have no fear of God at all.'' Evil men and impostors will increase and they'll go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.'' III. God Warns In The Last Days False Teaching Will Increase Matthew 24 ''And many false prophets will arise and will mislead many.'' IV. God Expects Believers To Be Good Soldiers 11 Timothy 2:3 “Suffer Hardship with me, as a good solider of Jesus Christ. ''Your citizenship is in heaven! You're not citizens of this earth. You're strangers and aliens." vs 10: ''But, Timothy, you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions and sufferings such as happened to me at Antioch and Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured; and out of them all the Lord delivered me. And, indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.'' ''The Lord will deliver me from every evil deed, and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom; to Him be the glory forever and ever.''

Ephesians 4:11-12 Ephesians 4: vs 1 “This is what I want you to do……I want you to get out there and don’t walk – better yet, run! On the road God called you to travel. I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands. I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere. You do this with humility and discipline and not in fits and starts, but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love, alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences.” I. The One Who Gives the Spiritual Gifts II. The PEOPLE Who Discover & Use The Gifts Vs11-12 “He handed out gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, and pastor-teacher, to train Christ’s followers in skilled servant work, working within Christ’s body, the church, until we are all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.” Pastor – means shepherd Elder –Bishop – Pastor all 3 basically refer to the same office III. The Purpose of Spiritual Gifts "He handed out the gifts …………. To train Christ’s body, the church, until we are all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive in Christ.” Galatians 6:1 "if a person is overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual restore such a one." 1. One does not call oneself We do not decide we are going to hold a specific office or do a specific task within the church. 2. The need does not mean God is calling you 3. The church alone does not give the call 4. God and God alone calls us to a task or an office We must be willing to do whatever God has called us to do 5. Are You Ready For The Believers Performance Evaluation?
2 Corinthians 5:11-21 vs 11, ''Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences. We are not again commending ourselves to you, but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, that you will have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart.'' Vs 13 - 21 ''For if we are beside ourselves (if we act crazy), it is for God; if we are of sound mind, it is for you. For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died. And He died for all, so that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore, from now on we recognize no man according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us, we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.'' First step: You can live and fear of the Lord. vs 10 that we must all appear. appear means ''to be revealed.'' Nothing will be hidden from the Lord. As if we are there with no clothes. vs11 ''manifest. ''Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord,'' he says in vs 11, ''we persuade men, but we are made manifest to God; and I hope that we are made manifest also in your consciences.'' ''All the nations are as nothing in His sight; they are regarded by Him as less than nothing and meaningless.'' Proverbs 23:17 ''Do not let your heart envy sinners, but live in the fear of the LORD always.'' vs 10, we must all appear. appear -''to render apparent, to be revealed, to be exposed. Proverbs ''The fear of man brings a snare, but he who trusts in the LORD will be exalted.'' vs 12, ''We are not again commending ourselves to you, but are giving you an occasion to be proud of us, that you may have an answer for those who take pride in appearance and not in heart.'' Ecclesiastes 12:13 - 14, ''The conclusion, when all has been heard, is fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. For the LORD will bring every act to judgment, everything that is hidden, whether it is good or evil.'' Psalms, ''Come, you children, and listen to Me, and I will teach you the fear of the LORD.'' Second step: You can live in the love of the Lord. Vs 14, ''For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all; therefore, all died. And He died for all, that they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf.'' The love of Christ controls us. controls ''to hold us.'' ''to press us in.'' Step 3: You can live in the mission of the Lord. vs 18. ''Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.''
