Can You Trust God With Your Finances?

    1 Chronicles 29:10-14

“David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly, saying, ‘Praise be to you, O Lord, God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all. Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name.’ But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.” ~1 Chronicles 29: 10-14

“Lord, all of this was yours from the beginning and we have just given back to you what was already yours.”

God Is The Source Of Every Blessing In Your Life

Every good thing in your life has come to you as a gift from God

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down
From the Father of the heavenly lights.” ~ James 1:17

“You may say to yourself, ‘My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.’ But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who give you the ability to produce wealth.” ~ Deuteronomy 8: 17-18

    11. God Designed Us To be Givers Not Takers Nor Holders

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
    ~ John 7: 37-38

    A. W. Tozer wrote,

“There is a disease that is spreading rapidly in the 20th Century. It is called CIRRHOSIS OF THE GIVER. It is an acute condition, which renders the patient’s hand immobile, when it attempts to move from the billfold to the offering plate. The remedy is to remove the afflicted person from the House of God, since it is clinically observable that this condition disappears in environments such as the sports stadiums, shopping malls, and restaurants.”

    111. The More You Give, The More You Are Blessed

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. “ ~ Luke 6: 38

“Give away your life; you’ll find life given back, but not merely given back – given back with bonus and blessings. Giving, not getting , is the way. Generosity begets generosity.” (The Message)

1V. Give To God and He Promises To Meet Your Financial Needs

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, And your vats will overflow with good wine.” ~Proverbs 3:9-10

GIVE GOD THE FIRST 10% OF YOUR INCOME

“Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But, how do we rob you? In tithes and offerings…Bring the whole tithe into the church. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty and see if I will not open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessings that you will not have room for it”

    ~ Malachi 3:8-10A

    2. SAVE THE SECOND 10%

“Take a lesson from the ants…they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter.: ~ Proverbs 6:6,8

    3. Live on 80% of your income

“The word of the Lord that came to Zephaniah, son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, during the reign of Josiah, son of Amon king of Judah: I will sweep away everything from the face of the earth, declares the Lord. I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble when I cut off man from the face of the earth, declares the Lord.” ~ Zephaniah 1:1-3

John Quincy Adams 6th President of United States

Son of John ADAMS 2ND President of United States

July 4, 1837 he made this observation about Christmas:

“Why is it that, next to the birth day of the Savior of the world, your most joyous and venerated festival returns on this day? Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon the earth? That it laid the corner store of human government upon the first precepts of Christianity, and gave to the world the first irrevocable pledge of the fulfillment of the prophecies, announced directly from Heaven at the birth of the Savior and predicted by the greatest of the Hebrew prophets 600 years before.”

Delaware 1st colony to form a state constitution:

Article 22 states “Every person, who shall be chosen a member of either house, or appointed to any office or place of trust…shall…make and subscribe to the following declaration, to wit: ‘I do profess faith in God the father, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed forever more, and I do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old & New Testament to be given by divine inspiration.”

Does God Have A Plan For My Life?

    Ephesians 5:17
"Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is." I. How Can I Understand The Will of God For Me? “For I know the plans I have for you, (says the Lord)plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” ~ Jeremiah 29:11 “a righteousness from God is revealed step by step.” ~ Romans 1:17 II. How I Can Know God Is Speaking Psalm 48:14, "For this God is our God for ever and ever; He will be our guide, even to the end." "guide" means to drive as a chariot Psalm 37:23, "If the Lord delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm." KJV "He orders our steps." firm or order means "pointed" "delicate." Psalm 139:9-10 "If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will (there it is again!) GUIDE me your right hand will hold me fast." Isaiah 58:11, "The Lord will (here's that word again) guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." "I will guide you as a colony of people going into a strange land." III. Attitudes In Knowing God’s Will For Our Lives Our thoughts produce our attitudes, our thoughts precede our attitudes. Psalm 25:9 "He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way." "I know the way; I know the plan I have for you; I can lead you in the way. You can think your way; get your own ideas; you can leave Me behind; you can do what you think is right. But if you will trust Me and obey Me I'll get you there!"

Why Do I Live In Fear?
    II Corinthians 4:7-18
II Timothy 1:7 ''For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.'' (II Timothy 1:7, NKJV) I. Remember Failure Happens
''We often suffer, but we are never crushed. Even when we don't know what to do, we never give up. In times of trouble, God is with us, and when we are knocked down, we get up again.'' II Corinthians 4:8-9, CEV
''We all make many mistakes.'' (James 3:2, NLT) ''There is no one on earth who does what is right all the time and never makes a mistake.'' (Ecclesiastes 7:20, GN) II. Refuse To Fear Failure ''We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed and broken. We are perplexed, but we don't give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going.'' (II Corinthians 4:8-9, NLT) The difference between successful people and unsuccessful people is not that successful people never fail - the difference is - successful people never quit. III. When Failure Comes Hold Your Head Up And Try Again ''We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. These little troubles [failures] are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles [failures] seem like nothing. Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That is why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen.'' (II Corinthians 4:16-18, CEV) ''God canceled our debt which listed all the rules we failed to follow. He took away the record with its rules and nailed it to the cross.'' (Colossians 2:14, NCV)
