Matthew 11:2-6 "Now when John in prison heard of the works of Christ, he sent word by his disciples, and said to Him, Are You the Expected One, or shall we look for someone else? And Jesus answered and said to them, Go and report to John what you hear and see - the blind receive sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who keeps from stumbling over Me." John, Jesus goes on to say, is the greatest prophet. He said, "Of those born of women, there is none greater than John the Baptist." And so the greatest of men, the greatest of prophets, he was struggling with doubt. "Are You the Expected One, or should we look for someone else?"

Where Is The Evidence You Are A Believer?
    Series: Christianity 101
    John 15:1-11

''I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is thrown away as a branch and dries up; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it shall be done for you. By this is My Father glorified that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.”

John 15, ''I am the Vine, you're the branches, you're going to bear fruit for Me.''

II. How Does A Believer Bear Much Fruit?

Vs 9 Jesus said, ''Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. Just as the Father has loved Me...''

Sum up Christianity: “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so.''

''He still working on me to make me what I ought to be. It took Him just a week to make the moon and the stars and the sun and the earth and Jupiter and Mars. How loving and patient He must be. He's still working on me.''

The sun was rising rapidly. It was beginning to shoot its golden arrows across the horizon to gild the sky and curtain off the dawn that would bring a new day to the history filled city of Jerusalem. This is the festive season of Passover. The old city was filled with pilgrims, visitors, and travelers who had come from many countries to share in the feast. Secular census records indicate there were at least 2 million, 5 hundred thousand in Jerusalem for this event.

EXCITING RUMOR WAS RAMPANT IN THE CITY JESUS IS COMING

Behind him were his sermons; ahead, His suffering
Behind him were his parables; ahead, His passion

    Matthew 14:22-23

'' immediately He made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of Him to the other side while He sent the crowds away. And after He had sent the crowds away, He went up to the mountain by Himself to pray; and when it was evening, He was there alone. But the boat was already long distance away from the land, battered by the waves; for the wind was contrary. And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were frightened, saying, ''It is a ghost!'' They cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, ''Take courage; it is I; do not be afraid''!

Peter answered, ''Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water''. And He said,''Come!''
Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, ''Lord, save me!'' Immediately, Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him and said to him, ''O you of little faith, why did you doubt?'' And when they got into the boat, the wind stopped. And those who were in the boat worshipped Him, saying, ''You are certainly God's Son!''

    Matthew 3:13-17

Then Jesus arrived from Galilee at the Jordan coming to John (John the Baptist) to be baptized by him. But John tried to prevent Him, saying, I have need to be baptized by You, and do You come to me? But Jesus answered and said to him Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he permitted Him. And after being baptized, Jesus went up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming upon Him. And, behold, a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased.
